The Stony Brook Seawolves swept a double header on Friday to eliminate the Binghamton University Bearcats from a playoff slot.

Although the season ended with a double header split between the both baseball teams, on Saturday, the Friday twin bill at Rumble town in Binghamton, it was all Stony Brook with early leads in both games the Seawolves out scored the Bearcats 7-1 in the first match and 15-3 in the second to capture the America east title for the regular season.

The two teams played another duel match on Saturday at NYSEG stadium, BU won the first game 5-4 and lost the second 6-3.

The Binghamton University Bearcats finish the season with a 16-20 record, they were 7-9 at home and 9-11 on the road.

It was a difficult season for everyone dealing with the restrictions and protocols from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Congratulations to the Bearcats Athletics for everything they do to protect the students, staff and the fans.
