Sodexo’s Labor Practices are Protested

The people who prepare meals for Binghamton University students are getting some support from those students.

Dozens staged a rally at the Vestal campus to call for better pay for Sodexo workers.

Organizers say those employees make an average of $12,000 a year with inadequate benefits.

Student representatives said they were hoping for more fair labor practices to be implemented following employee negotiations with Sodexo and the United Public Service Employees Union this month.
