CHOW Walk Today

The 34th Annual CHOW Hunger Walk is being held today on campus at Binghamton University.  The walk forms behind East Gym and gets underway at 2:00 PM. Registration starts at 1:00PM.

The Hunger Walk is one of the biggest fund-raising events each year for CHOW which provides over one million meals each year for needy families and individuals in Broome County.  Walkers are invited to bring non-perishable food items to the event.  Containers should be in cans or plastic and anything donated should be oriented towards providing a family meal such as cereal, pasta, baby formula, and canned fruits and vegetables.

Monetary donations are especially welcome as CHOW can often purchase food in bulk at a discount.  The Walk is entirely on the BU campus and is about 1.7 miles.long.  Sodexo Food Service provides a lunch for all participants at the end of the walk.
