A collision apparently related to a police pursuit tied up rush-hour traffic on Hooper Road in Endwell.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash that happened around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

At least two damaged vehicles were observed at the intersection. Traffic on Hooper Road was backed up following the collision.

People who were sitting on a bench near the crash said the crash happened as a vehicle was being chased by police.

A woman who was visiting a friend at a nearby apartment house said she heard a loud crash and went outside to see the wrecked vehicles.

State police at the scene did not comment on the situation.
