Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Police say a Broome County man is one of two suspects arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in the Twin Tiers.

Authorities say 28-year-old Nicholas Neer of Port Crane and 27-year-old William Polhamus of Greene are believed to have stolen property from three locations in Chenango County.

Investigators say the men are suspects in two burglaries in the town of Greene and one burglary in the town of Oxford. Various items were taken in those incidents.

According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, Neer and Polhamus also are believed to be responsible for other burglaries throughout the Southern Tier and northern Pennsylvania.

The men were arraigned in North Norwich town court and sent to Chenango County Jail.

Officials say they expect more arrests will be made as a result of the investigation.
