Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]The City of Binghamton Police Department has posted video on its Facebook page showing a person of interest in a grand larceny case.

Officials said the incident happened between October 24 and 25 at the Price Chopper on Glenwood Avenue when a man returned one bottle for a deposit refund then tried to snatch the cash in the register drawer. The cashier struggled with the suspect who fled on a bicycle, throwing off his sweatshirt.

The suspect is described as white, thin, had glasses, scruffy facial hair and was wearing a dark baseball hat with lettering on the front, gray pants with cargo pockets on the thighs and black shoes.

Officials say he rode west toward the driveway between the store and railroad tracks toward Glenwood Avenue and may have fled west on Brown Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Binghamton Police Detectives at (607) 772-7080.
