Otsego County Man Accused of Attacking Wife

An Otego man faces charges following a domestic dispute with his wife.

Authorities say 29-year-old Robert Utter has been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal contempt and harassment.

According to state police, Utter was arrested Wednesday after a caller to 911 reported a disturbance at a home on Wells Bridge Road in Sidney.

Troopers say they determined Utter punched and choked his wife during the dispute.

Police say Utter violated an order of protection that had been issued by Oneonta court.

Utter was arraigned in Franklin town court and sent to Delaware County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
