N.Y. Casino Board Meets

The New York State Gaming Commission has opened up the process to accept applications for a license for a casino in the Southern Tier.

The board voted last month to open the bid process for a fourth license after awarding the Southern Tier/ Finger Lakes license to a development in Tyre in Northwestern New York.

Commission voted to approve the new Request for Applications and the RFA was released online.

At last word, Tioga Downs in Nichols was the only publicly announced entry.
