Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]State police say a 25-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly fired a shotgun at a vehicle in retaliation following an attack outside a Dollar General store in Oswego County.

Investigators say the shooting suspect was attacked by another man after he exited the store on Route 49 in Constantia.

Authorities say Rusty Hayes of Constantia is accused of firing a 16-gauge shotgun loaded with birdshot at a vehicle as his attacker drove away. The vehicle was damaged but no injuries were reported.

Hayes was charged felony counts of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Constantia town court and sent to Oswego County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Police say more charges are pending.
