A Newfield man was arrested following a reported altercation in a residence.

Authorities say 54-year-old Robert Emery faces six charges in connection with the February 15 incident.

According to state police, Emery was charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Emery also was charged with two counts of criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say the physical altercation occurred in a home on May Lane.

Emery was arraigned in Newfield town court and released on his own recognizance. He was ordered to reappear in court on Tuesday.
