A Lisle man is accused of trying to hit a New York State Trooper with a metal flashlight while he was being arrested.

55 year old Donald Moshier was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car that was partially in the roadway on Smith Hill Road at around quarter after 3 p.m. September 21.

Once officers woke him up, they determined he had been driving while impaired by drugs, had a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest with New York State Police in Owego.

Troopers say Moshier physically resisted being handcuffed and swung the flashlight at the officer but missed.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail on $5,000 bail.
