The Binghamon Bearcats dropped their game to the Monmouth Hawks last night in New Jersey 74-46.  Monmouth led at the half 35-27 but blew the game wide open by outscoring the Bearcats 39-19 in the second half to record their fifth win of the season . Monmouth is coached by Binghamton High School graduate King Rice,

BU led by four points in the late stages of the opening half,  But in the second half it was all Monmouth.  The Hawks hit on 11-28 three-point shots while BU was just 3-22 for 13.6 per cent from beyond the arc.  In the second half the Bearcats only made three shots in 20 attempts and were just 1-10 from beyond the arc.

Jordan Reed led Binghamton scorers with 13 points while Yosef Yacob netted eight points for BU.  The Hawks were led by 13 points from Andrew Nicholas.  Hi hit on 3-8 from beyond the arc and as a team Monmouth converted 11-28 from beyond the arc.

The Bearcats fall to 2-8 on the season and do not play again until December 23rd when they travel to Buffalo to face the Bulls.  The next home game is on Saturday, December 28 when the Bearcats host Bryant.
