Binghamton University All-American middle distance runner Jesse Garn will compete in the U.S. Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon this Thursday through Friday.The competition will be at Heyward Field which is the site of his 4th-place finish in the 800 a couple of weeks ago in the NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships.

There are 32 runners who will compete in his category. There will be three rounds of racing.  The first round includes four heats of eight runners and that is scheduled for Thursday at 7:00 PM.  The top three finishers in each heat plus the next four fastest times advance to round two.  That will be held at 11:44 AM on Friday.  The finals will be held on Sunday at 4:47 EST.

The top three finishers in the finals advance to the World Track & Field Championship August 22-30 in Beijing, China.  The fourth place finisher serves as an alternate.
