Ithaca-Area Women Accused Of Swiping Air Conditioners

Two women have been arrested in connection with the theft of two air conditioner units from a Tompkins County juvenile detention facility.

Authorities say 52-year-old Linda Labrake of Richford and 48-year-old Stephanie Lucena of Freeville are suspected of stealing the air conditioners from the Lansing Residential Center.

State police say Labrake and Lucena were charged with petit larceny.

The women were ordered to appear in Lansing town court on August 1.
