Opportunities for Broome is taking its offer for buying the closed Greenman Senior Center in Downtown Binghamton off the table.

Binghamton City Council last week turned down OFB's $75,000 bid for the center on Pine Street after a last-minute counter-bid of $105,000 was submitted by the owners of Lane Construction.

The bid from Lane expired April 19th and company officials have not decided if they will put in another offer as the property goes back on the open market.

The parcel is to be advertised for sale throughout New York and Pennsylvania.

OFB had proposed developing the site as a training kitchen and is now considering other sites.

Lane had been planning to use the building for office space.
