The 43rd Annual Grecian Festival ends today (Sunday) at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Vestal.  Thousands attended over the four-day period.  Dozens of volunteers from the church and the Greek community worked to make the festival another big success.

Visitors were able to enjoy delicious meals, specialties and wonderful pastries and baked goods.  Some of the favorites include Dolmades, Moussaka, Spanikopita and Gyros.  The traditional lamb dinners were also a big hit.

People also have been able to savor numerous Greek pastries like Baklava, Kataifi, Kourambiedis and the always popular Diples (Honey Puffs).  Many dined at the festival while others ate and then shopped for items to take home or give to others who could not attend.

Along with a wide selection of food and treats the festival included Greek music and dancing.  Dancers included small children up to retirement age participants. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
