Former New York Yankee standout Roy White will be signing autographs Saturday from 11 AM - 2PM at the Spiediefest and Balloon Rally at Otsiningo Park.  White played for the Bronx Bombers from 1965 - 1979 where he was a member of two World Series championship teams.  The Yankees won the World Series in 1977 and 1978 during White's career.  He only  played for the Yankees during his big league tenure.

White batted .271 during his major league career.  In 1881 career regular season games he hit safely 1803 times .  He connected for 160 home runs and drove in 758 runs.

White was an outstanding defensive player with a career .986 fielding percentage.  He was named to the American League All-Star team in both 1969 and 1970.  In one dozen World Series games White hit .244 and in 25 overall post-season contests he hit at a .278 clip.

White will be signing autographs inside the concert area and fans looking for souvenirs signed by the former Yankee need a Spiediefest Button to enter.  Buttons are available at area Cost Cutters, Weis Markets and MainSource on Upper Front Street in Binghamton.
