We're planning a few non-traditional courses for Thanksgiving dinner. Skipping the traditional roasted whole turkey can save a lot of time and many items can be made several days in advance.

Easy links are being provided for you to zip right over to the Kathy's Recipes page where you can find each course.

Dessert

The cheese dip, stuffed mushrooms, French Onion Soup, pot pie filling and the cream puffs can all be made a day or two in advance.  Even the pie crust can be made ahead and kept in the refrigerator before forming into the pie plates, filling and baking.  The cream puffs can be baked a day or so ahead but don't fill until that morning.

The first thing to get started Thanksgiving day is the soup in a slow cooker since it will take a few hours. The rest of the courses should only take between 5 minutes for the appetizers to up to 20 minutes for the pot pies.

Thanks to Down to Earth Whole Foods on Grant Avenue, Endicott for sponsoring Foodie Fridays.  They're open 7 days a week and even have delivery service.
