Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Officials are looking into the cause of an apartment house fire in Endicott that left three families homeless.

The American Red Cross is assisting six adults and eight children following the 2 p.m. blaze March 8 on Tracy Street that was driven by strong winds.

There were no injuries.

Firefighters from Endicott, West Corners and the Town of Union had to move their attack to the outside after spending over an hour inside the structure trying to put down the flames.

Officials say the fire extended from the basement to the attic of the three-story apartment building.
