Officials are looking into the cause of an explosion that destroyed a home in Delaware County.

Fire officials say three people and a dog were inside the house in Masonville when an explosion rocked the structure and sparked a fire at around 9:30 p.m. July 13.

One person was airlifted to Wilson Hospital while another person was treated for a broken arm and the other person and the dog escaped uninjured.

The condition of the person taken to the hospital has not been released.

Officials said the fire that was sparked by the explosion was still smoldering hours after the house burned to the ground.
