Deposit Man Arrested Following Dispute

A town of Deposit man faces charges after a reported residential dispute.

Authorities say 42-year-old Patrick Brown was arrested Tuesday after state police investigated an incident that occurred on Route 8.

According to police, Brown allegedly choked a person and prevented that person from calling for help.

Brown was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal mischief.

Brown was arraigned in Deposit town court and released on his own recognizance.

Police say an order of protection was issued by the court against Brown.
