Crews Remove Old Endwell Bridge
Construction workers have taken down the deteriorated Hooper Road bridge in the town of Union.
Crews removed the four-decade-old bridge that carried traffic over East Main Street in Endwell.
The rehabilitation project started last week. Broome County officials have said the job is expected to be finished by September 23.
Traffic is being maintained on Route 17C - East Main Street - in the work zone, although there are lane restrictions.
Detour routes for motorists who normally would use Hooper Road are in place.
No significant traffic problems have been reported since work began on the project.
