Time Warner Cable May Be Bought By Charter Communications

Charter Communications has announced it plans to acquire Time Warner Cable for about $55 billion.

The proposed deal comes a month after Comcast ended its effort to obtain Time Warner.

Services and Parades Honor Fallen Heroes

Numerous parades and services were held around the area this Memorial Day.  Veterans and families were among many taking part in parades that began this morning and continued through this afternoon with a parade in Binghamton.  The Binghamton parade began at American Legion Post 76 on Main Street at 2:00 PM and ended at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

Memorial Day Weekend Holiday Traffic

Police across New York and Pa. are stepping up their patrols and checkpoints this holiday weekend.  Governor Cuomo directed New York State officials to suspend most highway and bridge work for the long weekend to prevent traffic congestion where possible.  The Governor also announced that State Police will add numerous sobriety checkpoints on roadways throughout New York.
