Cast-Off Equipment to be Auctioned in Broome County

Area residents have a chance at getting some bargains as Broome County auctions off equipment from municipalities and school districts.

County officials say cast-off and surplus items up for sale include cars, trucks, heavy equipment, bicycles, office equipment, recreational equipment and more.

The items are sold as-is.

The auction is September 26 at the Broome County Highway Garage on Thomas Street in the Town of Chenango with public inspection and registration at 8 a.m.  The vehicle sales start at 10 with the non-vehicle auction starting at around 11.

Photo identification must be presented to auctioneer Mel Manasse and Son for those wishing to register to bid.
