Cash Taken In Delaware County Home Invasion

State police say a masked man stole cash from a Delaware County house after striking two residents with a gun.

Investigators say the home invasion on Stone Fort Road in the town of Kortright happened around two o'clock Thursday morning.

Authorities say a man forced his way into the house and assaulted two people who are in their eighties.

The residents, who had been asleep, reportedly were hit with a long gun before the intruder left the home, apparently walking away from the property.

State police say anyone who observed a vehicle parked on Stone Fort Road or on nearby Route 23 early Thursday may contact investigators at 607.432.3211.
