The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team is in Burlington, Vermont for a 7:00 p.m. (6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) contest against the Catamounts February 17.

Heading into the game the Bearcats were 3-9 in America East and Vermont was 7-5.  BU is one-half game in back of fifth place Maine in America East.  The Catamounts are one game behind third place New Hampshire in the conference.

In Binghamton's last game the Bearcats topped the Hartford Hawks 68-54.  Last time out for the Catamounts resulted in a 92-81 win over the Hawks.

Binghamton has had a tough time winning at Patrick Gymnasium where Vermont holds a 12-2 edge.  Overall in the series Vermont is 27-8 over the Bearcats.

BU is paced by sophomore Willie Rodriguez who is scoring 14.6 points per game.  He is the only Bearcat averaging in double figures.  The Catamounts have four players averaging in double digits.  Trae Bell-Haynes is their top scorer averaging 11.8 points per game.  Forward Ethan O'Day is right behind scoring at an 11.6 points per game average.

The Bearcats return home to take part in a doubleheader against the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Saturday, February 20.  The women play at 2:00 p.m. followed by the men's game at 4:30 p.m.
