Broome County landowners can submit proposals through December to include their land in a certified agricultural districts.  Those districts are designed to encourage the continue use of farmland for agricultural production. The application deadline is December 31.

At the end of the 30 day application period, the requests will be referred to the County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, which will make recommendations to the Broome County Legislature.
