The Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the New York Yankees, Brian Cashman, was the guest speaker at last (Monday) night's Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Binghamton.  Cashman signed autographs and posed for pictures for over an hour prior to the dinner and stayed after the ceremonies finished to sign more autographs.

Cashman has been associated with the Yankees for three decades and has been the General Manager since 1998.  Under his management the Yankees have captured 12 Division Championships, six American League titles and four World Series victories.

He brought his 2009 World Series Championship ring with him and let many fans get their picture taken holding it.  He mingled with the crowd shaking hands, answering questions and stopping for picture takers.

12 new members were inducted into the area Hall of Fame.  This is the second year of the organization's existence which honors and remembers our community's Legends of Sport.
