The Binghamton Mets used "Plawecki Power" to snap a five-game losing streak last night at NYSEG Stadium.  Catcher Kevin Plawecki smacked a solo home run in the eighth inning to give the B-Mets a 3-2 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats.  Plawecki launched his solo shot over the left-field fence off of Cole Johnson to put Binghamton up to stay.

Jon Velasquez upped his record to 3-2 with the win.  Cole Johnson drops to 0-2.  Chasen Bradford pitched the ninth inning, preserved the lead and earned his ninth save this season.

With last night's win Binghamton ups its record to 25-21.  Game two in the series is set for 7:05 tonight at NYSEG Stadium.  Hansel Robles is the scheduled B-Mets pitcher while Matt Duffey gets the nod for New Britain.  Airtime tonight is 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
