The Binghamton Mets are home for the next to last time in the regular season tonight at 6:35 as they host the New Britain Rocks Cats in the fourth of their five game series.  Last night the B-Mets split a twinbill with the Rock Cats dropping the B-Mets 5-1 in the opener and Binghamton winning the nightcap 3-2.  Binghamton trails Portland in the Eastern Division pennant race by two games.  Both have played an equal number of games.

Tyler Pill gets the start tonight for the B-Mets.  He is making his 21st start of the season and has won three straight outings upping his record to 9-5.  He makes his fourth start of the season against New Britain and has not figured in the decision in any of them.  Pill is second in the Eastern League in strikeouts with 113.

The B-Mets have won 11 of their last 14 games.  The magic number for Portland to clinch the division crown is four with six games remaining for both teams.  Should the teams end up dead even in wins and losses the title would go to the Sea Dogs as they have won the regular season series 12-9.

Airtime tonight is 6:20 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Coverage is also available on wnbf.com.
