The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team host's the University of Rochester tonight at 7 (6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) at the Events Center.  The exhibition game against Division III Rochester will give the coaches and fans an early look at this year's team.

The Bearcats are looking for guards Stephanie Jensen and Vaneeshia Paulk to provide leadership.  Jensen can distribute the ball and provide solid long-range scoring as well.  She connected on 37 three's last season.  Paulk, who along with Jensen are the team's co-captains, can attack the basket and help steady the team in clutch situations.

Sherae Swinson hopes to continue her scoring touch this season. Last year she led the Bearcats in scoring averaging 9.9 points per game and was a third-team America East selection.  Morgan Murphy returns for her sophomore campaign after sitting out the last six games last year due to injury.  She was named to the America East All-Rookie Team.

Following tonight's game the Bearcats open Division I play by hosting the University at Buffalo Friday at 530 PM on Subway Pack The House Night.  Fans can get free coupons for the game at area Subway's and then redeem those coupons at the Events Center Box Office for free tickets.  The BU men also play that night as they host Loyola of Maryland at 8.  One ticket gets admission to both games.
