The Binghamton Bearcats hope they can close out 2013 with a road victory today when they meet the St. Joseph's Hawks at 2 PM at Hagan Arena in Philadelphia.  Both teams are coming off of weekend wins.  The Bearcats downed the Bryant Bulldogs 67-62 at the Events Center on Saturday and St. Joseph's picked up a home court win over Boston University 73-67 Sunday night.

The Bearcats are 3-9 and a win would give them one more victory than all of last season. The Hawks are 7-4 and are 3-2 on their home court.  Binghamton is 2-5 in away games so far this year.

This is the first time the two teams have met on the basketball court. The Hawks have played a tough non-conference schedule.  They have lost to LSU, Villanova, Creighton and Temple.  They play out of the Atlantic 10 and are led in scoring by guard Langston Galloway and forward Ronald Roberts with each averaging over 16 points per game.

Binghamton's top gun continues to be sophomore Jordan Reed.  Coming off a 16 point, 11 rebound game against Bryant, Reed is averaging over 16 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per contest.  Marlon Beck is averaging 11.8 points per game and Nick Madray is scoring at an 11.3 point per game clip.  Beck also had a big game against Bryant scoring 10 points and dealing out 10 assists.

This is the last non-conference game for BU.  Next up is the America East conference opener at the University of Maine next Sunday at 4:30 PM. Today's game will be broadcast on 1360 AM WYOS beginning at 1:45 PM.
