The Binghamrton Bearcats men's and women's basketball teams wrapped-up their regular seasons over the weekend and now set their sights on Albany for the America East Conference Tournament.  The BU women finished the season with an 86-80 double-overtime loss to UMBC on Saturday at the Events Center.  The Bearcats closed the conference regular season with a record of 2-14.  That pits BU as an eighth seed and will have them meet Albany, the AE champions at 6 PM Friday evening. Albany finished conference play at 15-1.

The Bearcats' men's team also went to overtime before losing to regular season champion Vermont yesterday 92-82.  The Catamounts finish 15-1 while the loss drops BU to a 4-12 slate.  That ties Binghamton with Maine and New Hampshire for sixth place in the conference.  By virtual of tie-breaking criteria the Bearcats have earned the sixth seed which matches them against third seed Hartford.  That game is scheduled for 8:30 Saturday night.  Binghamton lost a two-point  home battle with the Hawks and an overtime road contest in Hartford in the two regular season meetings.

Tournament ticket information is available at www.americaeast.com.  All games will be played at the SEFCU Arena on the campus of the University at Albany.
