The Binghamton Bearcats took regular season champion Vermont to overtime before falling 92-82 today at the Events Center on Senior Day.  Binghamton seniors Roland Brown, Rayner Moquette and Alex Ogundadegbe were honored in ceremonies prior to the start of today's game.

Sophomore standout Jordan Reed had another monster game for Binghamton.  Reed scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Bearcats before fouling out in the overtime session.  Reed scored 33 points in the Bearcats overtime loss at Hartford on Thursday night.  Two other Bearcats scored double figures.  Freshman Yosef Yacob fired in 22 points including five three-pointers.  Roland Brown hit for 14 points in his final regular season game.

Binghamton had four players foul out of the game.  The Bearcats were  40-49 at the foul line while Vermont hit 36-46 of their free throws.  Vermont was led by forward Clancy Rugg who scored 25 points including a 19-21 show at the foul line.

Vermont heads into next weekend's America East tournament in Albany with a 15-1 regular season record and the top seed. The Catamounts meet New Hampshire at Noon on Saturday at SEFCU Arena.  Binghamton finishes 4-12 and is a sixth seed and meets third seed Hartford Saturday at 8:30 PM (8:15 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
