The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team had some stellar moments but could not pull off a road victory at UMBC falling in overtime 80-79,  Marlon  Beck jacked a long three-point shot five feet behind the arc to tie the game at 73-73 and send the game into overtime.  His shot came with 1.8 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Bearcats held a 37-36 lead at the end of the first half. Marlon Beck was on fire in the first half with 14 points including four three-point buckets. He ended the game with 17 points for BU.

Binghamton was lead by an 18 point game from Thomas Bruce. Bruce also grabbed eight rebound and had two blocks.  Bobby Ahearn notched his first double-double with a career high 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Binghamton's leading scorer on the season Willie Rodriguez was held to just 2-12 from the field but a perfect 8-8 at the foul line for 13 points.

Jairus Lyles played every minute of the game and led all scorers with 25 points including the free ,throw that gave the Retrievers the win..The Bearcats will close the regular season with a home game against Maine on Saturday, February 27 at the Events Center.
