It was a heart-breaker for the Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team last night in West Hartford, Connecticut as they dropped an 89-83 decision to the Hartford Hawks in overtime.  With the loss BU falls to 4-11 in America East while Hartford moves to 9-6 and holds onto a share of third place in the conference.  The Hawks sweep the two-game series.  They also defeated Binghamton 56-54 last month at the Events Center.

Sophomore Jordan Reed was on fire for Binghamton.  He scored a career high 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to key Binghamton.  Reed had been held to just four points in the first half but electrified the crowd with 29 points in the second half and overtime.

Forward Mark Nwakamma paced the Hawks attack with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  Taylor Dyson and Yolonzo Moore each scored 14 points for Hartford. The Bearcats wrap-up their regular season at home at 2PM Sunday against Vermont.  The Catamounts clinched first place with a victory over Stony Brook in Burlington last night.
