The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team is on Long Island tonight to meet the Stony Brook Seawolves at 7 PM (6:50 airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The Seawolves are 8-2 in America East and right behind 9-2 Vermont in the battle for first place in the conference.

Dave Coley and Jameel Warney pace the Seawolves with 12 points per game but forward Tommy Brenton is the heart and soul of their team averaging 8 points and 8 rebounds per outing.

For the Bearcats (1-10 in AE) freshman Jordan Reed keys all things.  Reed is averaging 16 points per game and close to 9 rebounds per contest...both in the top-ten in the nation among freshman.  Jimmy Gray averages 10 ppg and will be counted on to hit some big three-pointers to keep the Bearcats in the game tonight.

Brian Freeman's inside presence has been a plus for BU and is expected to make his fifth start in a row tonight.  Freeman is averaging 4 ppg and his 19 blocks lead the team.  Next up for the Bearcats is a home matchup with Maine Saturday at 7 PM.  It is part of a BU doubleheader with the Black Bears as the women host Maine at 4PM Saturday as well.
