A Holiday Airshow will be coming to the Greater Binghamton Airport this July 4th and 5th courtesy of Tioga Downs.  Broome County Executive Debbie Preston made the announcement today at the Airport.  Also on hand were American Racing & Entertainment, LLC President and General Manager, Thomas Osiecki and Broome County Commissioner of Aviation, Carl R. Beardsley, Jr.

The 2014 Airshow will feature the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, an 11 Ship Aerobatic Team, historic WWII War Birds and numerous civilian performers.  The last Airshow at the Greater Binghamton Airport was held in 2009.  The last night Airshow was held in 2007.  The night event will feature specially equipped aircraft that have been modified to carry and launch fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices.  There will be a fireworks show at the end of the Airshow on July 4.

Tioga Downs is providing the funding to hold the Airshow.  Adult ticket prices are $12 per person prior to July 4 and then $15 on July 4 or 5.  One ticket gets admission to both the night and day shows.  Children 8-16 years of age will be priced at $7 pre-sale and $10 day of the show.  Children 7 and under are free.  Online ticket purchases will be available. later this month.
