Events encouraging women to take leadership roles in their communities, business and government kicked off April 19 with a sold-out luncheon at the Broome County Regional Farmers Market.

“Broome Women Lead” works to help women connect and grow in the community and plans to hold bi-monthly events through the year.

This kickoff has drawn over 225 attendees with more on a waiting list.

The keynote speaker is the author of “Lead from Within”, Penny Bartlow.

Broome Women Lead is supported by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce and core members include New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Chamber chair Jennifer Conway and other business and community group representatives.
