The Binghamton Senators dropped a 3-2 decision to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on the road this afternoon.  The B-Sens lost a 5-4 overtime contest last night to Lehigh Valley in Binghamton at the Floyd L. Maines War Memorial Arena.  Derek Grant scored two goals in the closing 16 seconds of regulation to earn a tie in regulation for the B-Sens.

In today's loss to the Penguins Binghamton got single tallies from Chris Wideman and Cole Schneider with Schneider's tally coming on the power-play.  The B-Sens fell behind two to nothing before the mid-way point of the opening period.

Andrew Hammond started in goal for the B-Sens and made 37 saves.  Eric Hartzell turned aside 21 shots in gaining the victory for the Pens.  The teams will meet seven more times during the regular season.  Today's loss puts Binghamton's record at 2-3-2-0.  The B-Sens will next be in action this Wednesday at 7:05 PM when they host the Utica Comets.
