Whitney Point Gets a New Mayor

Whitney Point's new Mayor is Trustee Ryan Reynolds.

A hand-count of the 156 ballots cast on the 18^th put Reynolds over Trustee Jason Somers in a vote of 83 to 73.

Reynolds takes over as Mayor April 1.

Two term Mayor David Downs is stepping down from village politics.

The Mayor-elect says he’s looking to move forward more development in the downtown district, address water issues that surfaced with the harsh winter and passing a new budget.
