Presidential candidate Donald Trump has said he's very popular with upstate New York residents. In a CNN interview, the Republican said he's to those upstate he's "like the most popular that's ever lived, virtually." He said: "They are great friends of mind."

Two years ago, Trump was considering a campaign for governor of New York. During a live interview on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, Trump discussed a range of issues of concern to upstate residents, including the region's economic woes. The conversation featured a number of themes he has incorporated into his presidential campaign.
