The Waverly High School football team makes a trip to Tioga Downs to thank owner, Jeff Gural for his support of raising money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Gural has been a very visible supporter of veterans’ causes. In addition to the resort hosting a .38 Special concert to benefit the Southern Tier Veterans’ Support Group, Gural donated $3,500 for the Waverly football team to purchase Wounded Warrior jerseys.

The football team has adopted the Wounded Warrior Project cause and is also raising money for the organization.

During the visit to the casino in the Town of Nichols, the team is to don their special jerseys and record a video tribute thanking all who serve our country.

The video will be played at the team’s Wounded Warrior Game September 8, which is Waverly’s first home game of the season.
