The Waterman Conservation Center is getting ready for the warmer months with a series of programs and events, including the Earth Day Clean Up on April 21st

The Waterman Conservation Education Center is always looking for volunteers to help with various opportunities that enrich our conservation, outdoor recreation and environmental issues.

In Observance of Earth day next week the Waterman Conservation Center will be cleaning up the area around their location at 403 Hilton Road in Apalachin beginning at 10am.

The clean up will include brush removal, trimming limbs, and cleaning out flower beds.

Upcoming events include the Earth Day Bird Walk on April 24th from 9a to 11a, and their first annual Garlic Mustard Pulling Throw Down on May 1st.

In addition the Waterman will hold two Plant Walks also scheduled for May 1st  at 10am and 10:30am ay Brick Pond in Owego.

This Monday April 19th at 6pm, the Waterman presents a book discussion on Growing and Propagating Wild Flowers of the US and Canada, reservation are required, call 607-625-2221 or e mail info@watermancenter.org
