The break was reported Sunday evening and impacts the area around Glenwood Road, the 24-hundred and 25-hundred blocks of Route 26, West Hill Road, Park and Grand Avenues, Kathleen Drive and Richards and Tharp Streets.

You can see the full advisory at the Town of Vestal website.

The break in the valve caused a loss of pressure that could have allowed for harmful microbes to enter the system.  Residents are being told to boil water for one minute and let it cool before using or use bottled water.
