The Vestal Golden Bears will host the Corning Hawks in a Section 4 Class 'A' semi-final football game tomorrow night at 7 (6:55 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) at Dick Hoover Stadium.  The winner of this game will meet the winner of Saturday night's semi-final between Union-Endicott and Horseheads at Ty Cobb Stadium.

In the regular season the Golden Bears pounded the Hawks 30-13.  Vestal's rushing attack crushed Corning.  Zach Cook ran for over 200 yards while Nick Wegmann picked up 150 yards on the ground to pace the Golden Bears to a victory.

Quarterback Adarius France is the key to the Hawks' attack.  Adept at running the option France can throw the ball as well.  For Vestal Wegmann's main target is speedster Justin Dennis.  Dennis has speed to burn and can be used to run the ball out of the slot position.  Another key for the golden Bears is versatile Pat Carlin.  He excels on both sides of the ball.  Cook can break a big run on opponents as well.  Keys for both sides will be an effective defense.  Both teams have shown they can score...the question is can they come up with key stops against the opposition.
