Unadilla Woman Dies in High-Speed Crash

A Unadilla woman is dead following a crash in the Town of Otego early on October 4.

New York State Police say 27-year-old Brooke Ketchum was speeding on State Highway 991J at 2:50 a.m. when she went through the intersection of County Road 48 and through the parking lot of Betty Beavers Gas Mart before plowing into a concrete wall.

Responding Troopers pulled the woman from the 2015 Kia Optima and life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

The investigation is continuing.
