Initial reports indicated a fire on a porch and a caller had said they heard a loud bang.  The second alarm was quickly initiated and firefighters from Endwell and Vestal joined Endicott crews on the scene.  Several other departments sent emergency response units or were placed on standby.

Authorities say all five residents of the house were able to get out safely.

New York State Electric and Gas responded to deal with an electrical wire down at the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
