Tioga Man Accused of Hurling Hammer At Vehicle

A Tioga County man has been charged with felony criminal mischief after a road rage incident in the town of Candor.

Authorities say 45-year-old Thomas Lightbody of Candor is suspected of throwing a hammer from his vehicle on Straits Corners Road. State police say the hammer struck and damaged the other driver's vehicle.

Investigators say Lightbody also tailgated and drove with his vehicle's high-beams on during the incident.

Lightbody was issued tickets to appear in Candor town court.
