Tioga County Woman Jailed After Car Crash

A driver faces several charges following a vehicle crash in the town of Newark Valley.

Authorities say 46-year-old Rachelle Courtright of Newark Valley was arrested after the incident on Markham Road.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Courtright was charged with felony driving while intoxicated. She also was charged with criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a vehicle and being an unlicensed operator.

Courtright was arraigned before an Owego town justice and remanded to Tioga County Jail on $1,000 bail.

A sheriff's office news release issued Friday afternoon indicated Courtright was arrested last Saturday night.
